Donald Trump hit Hillary Clinton for the Clinton Foundation at Wednesday night’s debate. “It’s a criminal enterprise and so many people know it. It’s a criminal enterprise,” Trump said. He added that Clinton should return the money she received from the Middle Eastern country because of their mistreatment of women and homosexuals.

Donald Trump hit Hillary Clinton for the Clinton Foundation at Wednesday night’s debate, but she returned the fire pointing out that the Republican nominee couldn’t be believed about any of his charitable giving without releasing his tax returns.
‘It is a criminal enterprise,’ Trump blasted, after moderator Chris Wallace tried making Clinton explain pay-to-play claims that Clinton Foundation donors got special access to her when she was the head of the State Department.
To that, Clinton told the Fox News host, ‘But there is no evidence,’ she objected. ‘And there is a lot of evidence of the good work.’
Trump expanded the attack by noting some of the objectionable countries that donated to the global charity, started by President Bill Clinton after he left the White House.
‘Saudi Arabia giving $25 million, Qatar, all of these countries,’ he said. ‘You talk about women and women’s rights?’
‘So, these are people that push gays off buildings, these are people that kill women and treat women horribly and yet you take their money, so I’m going to ask you right now why don’t you give back the money you’ve taken from certain countries that treat certain groups of people so horribly?’ Trump went on.
‘I think it would be a great gesture,’ the Republican nominee continued. ‘Because she takes a tremendous amount of money.’
Wallace had brought up how it looked like Clinton Foundation donors got picked first to do work in the country after the 2010 earthquake.
Trump went there too.
‘I was in Little Haiti the other day they hate the Clintons,’ he said. ‘Because what’s happened in Haiti with the Clinton Foundation is a disgrace and you know it, and they know it and everybody knows it.’
Clinton defended the foundation’s record in Haiti by pointing out that it’s the poorest country in this hemisphere and that the Clinton Foundation had raised $30 million to go toward earthquake relief.
‘They don’t want your help anymore,’ Trump cut in.
More broadly, she stated that the Clinton Foundation gave 90 percent of the donated money to programs around the world.
‘I would be happy to compare what we do with the Trump Foundation, which took money from other people and bought a six-foot portrait of Donald,’ she said.
